Responsible for providing professional nursing care for clinical patients following established standards and practices. Functions as primary clinical liaison between patients and physicians. This position also reports to Service Director for compliance, administrative and operational duties.
Coordinates care and provides skilled physical therapy to an assigned group of patients in the home setting. Report to the Service Director or designee.
To perform initial and ongoing patient assessments. To perform skilled occupational therapy functions. To provide supervision and direction to the certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) providing care in the certified home care. To act as case manager for occupational therapy only cases.
To perform therapy interventions under the direction of an Occupational Therapist. To follow an established plan of care, developed by an Occupational Therapist.
will perform all billing tasks necessary to produce and submit clean and timely claims for reimbursement from multiple payers including Medicare, Medicaid, Bravo, CareFirst and Riverside. This position will also perform accounts receivable analysis and collection activities to ensure HomeCare Maryland is reimbursed appropriately for the services provided to our patients
