Clinical Manager

Essential Functions:

• Monitors utilization of services to ensure appropriate utilization of resources. Identifies deficiencies and works to correct

• Facilitates effective communication and positive rapport between staff, practitioners and referral sources. Reviews laboratory reports, coordinates the dissemination of information to nurses and physicians, and ensure follow-up is completed

• Coordinates scheduling with Patient Service Coordinators. Ensures patient care is documented in accordance with agency standards and justifies services rendered. Monitors performance of clinicians from supplemental staffing agencies

• Actively participates in the recruitment and retention of clinicians. Encourages clinicians to use best practices for positive outcomes with patients and coworkers. Leads case conferences and other clinical meetings and in-services as directed by the Clinical Services Director

• Encourages staff development by providing coaching, mentoring and recognition of clinicians. Ensures competency of staff to include clinical co-visits, mandatory competencies, mandatory competencies, compliance with regulatory standards

• Collaborates with outside companies to coordinate patient care

• Demonstrates concern for meeting internal and external customers’ expectations. Asks questions and accurately interprets customers’ needs and expectations of the service or work output. Responds to customers with an appropriate level of urgency

• Constantly works to deliver efficient, high quality services and make improvement in services, work processes and results to ensure excellence in performance

• Other duties as assigned



• Registered Nurse with Associate’s Degree required. Bachelor’s Degree preferred

• 4-7 years varied clinical background with minimum of three years acute care experience including two years of home health experience and one year direct supervisory experience preferred

• CPR-AHA Healthcare Provider required


Technical/Clinical Skills:

• Experience with Microsoft Office and Kinnser preferred

• An understanding of regulations, documentation and reimbursement requirements. Efficient organization and time management skills


Leadership Skills:

• Strong leadership skills and effective communication skills
